El domingo pasamos el día en casa, yo lavé toda la ropa que tenía atrasada (no he cumplido mi promesa de lavar cada día), fuimos al cementerio a acompañar a la familia a poner flores y un poco vaguear con Patri a parte de trabajar lo que teníamos que tener para esta semana de capacitaciones.
Empezamos el lunes capacitando docentes en el cantón de Agua Agria, el martes al cantón de San Emigdio, el miércoles al Salvador Hidalgo y hoy jueves teníamos en San Benito pero han sido convocados por la departamental del Ministerio de Educación y hemos tenido que cambiarlo al jueves que viene.
El martes por la tarde fuimos con Ever y su familia a San Sebastián, "el pueblo de las hamacas" donde pudimos ver cómo hacían hamacas, manteles y mantas en los grandes telares. Un hombre se tomó su tiempo para explicarnos el funcionamiento del telar y por qué cree que los jóvenes no están ya interesados en este arte. Pude comprarme una para colgar en la entrada donde podemos sentarnos a leer o a relajarnos :)
Al no tener la capacitación en San Benito decidimos bajar a San Vicente para trabajar en la universidad y aprovechar para hacer la compra. Cuando llegamos a posgrado nos encontramos con Jhony y fuimos a comer a La Laguna de Apastepeque, un sitio precioso, donde comimos pescadito fresco del lago y disfrutamos de un almuerzo riquísimo con una buena conversación :).
Acabé el día aprendiendo a manejar la moto de Giovanni :D después de subir y bajar la calle dos veces dejamos la siguiente clase para un día de estos :D También le dimos yogur a la Delgadita :P
Last Sunday we spent our day at home, I washed all my clothes I had backed up (I haven´t been keeping my promise of washing my clothes daily), we went to the cementery with the family to put flowers on their grandma´s grave and the rest of the day Patri and I were just being lazy, apart from working and preparing things for this training week.
We started training teachers on Monday at Agua Agria, on Tuesday we went to San Emigdio, Wednesday we continued at Salvador Hidalgo and had another training session today at San Benito but they were convened by the department´s Education Ministry, so we had to change to next Thursday.
Tuesday afternoon we went to San Sebastián, "the hammock town". We saw how they made hammocks, cloths and blankets on the loom, one man took his time to explain how it worked and why they think young people aren´t interested in this art anymore. I was able to buy myself one to hang in the entry where we can sit and read :)
Since we didn´t have to be at San Benito today, we decided to go down to San Vicente to work at the university and do our shopping. When we arrived at posgrado we met Jhony and went out to lunch with him to La Laguna in Apartepeque, a lovely, charming place, where we ate fresh fish from the lake and enjoyed a delicious meal and a good conversation :)
I finished my day feeding yoghurt to Delgadita and learning how to drive Giovannni´s bike and after riding up and down the street a few times, we decided my next lesson would be another one of these days :D
